Alright, I have uploaded all the folders to the correct destinations. But when I go to my localsettings.php and add this part to it, it crashes my site. Any suggestions? Thanks!
require_once( "$IP/includes/DefaultSettings.php" );
require_once( "$IP/extensions/awc/forums/awc_forum.php" );

Posting your wikis version, forum version your trying and error message would help.
Give as much detail as you can, "crashes my site" is not very help full for trouble shooting.

It just says like server error cannot located localsettings...
Do I need to upgrade to one of the newer versions of wikimedia?

Where is your localsettings.php ?
If he tells you he cannot locate it, then it normally means he cannot find the file where he expected it to be.
Did you put the localsettings.php in the root directory of your wiki ?

Side Menu Tag
|
Hi,
I would very much like to include a link to the forum in the Main Menu or Toolbox in the MediaWiki sidebar. The AWC guide tells to edit config.php in the awc/config/ directory:
Place this <awc_forum_menu_tag> tag in your wiki sidebar ( MediaWiki:Sidebar ) and then set the following to true and the forums menu will appear in that spot.
/extensions/awc/forums/config/config.php
define('awcs_forum_nav_bar_tag', false);
/extensions/awc/forums/config/config.php does not exist.
Creating the directory and file and adding the statement above, but with true, does not help. The tag is not identified.
