I think you misunderstood. What they want is to have the 'Last Action' column in the Recent Changes page include the name of the person who edited last. Right now it dosen't show that like it did back in 2.4.X. We're on RPG and there's a lot of turn-taking that takes place, so it's really handy for being able to know when your turn is.

My Proplem ist that the language german not shows when I have awcs_forum_convert_latin on, its the same proplem when I set the latin over mysql-query ...

And here is a screen all words from the language pack doesn't display when I habe latin not set, all is ok with the lanuge pack...

ok, ill look into it, but thats gonna take alittle time.

I can't wait to see that change

I did spot another bug, though. On the index page the username linked from the last post column links to the correct username, but the /Userid part mis-links to the person who started the thread. We were REALLY confused when one user's profile came up weird

Just a post to keep yous updated...

The following work has been made and theres only acouple more things left todo before another download is ready.

Changed:
  • dead "Last Post" column on main page, now border will out-line
  • moved forum_tag code to new file
  • fixed edit links when view mem-profile
  • fixed member ids
  • add the following tags (pretty sure they have been working in the forum from early 2.4.x)
    [search]test[/search] [google]test[/google] [yahoo]test[/yahoo]

  • moved the search form to the new template system (the members_skin.php file is the only skin file left on the old systme)
  • after posting a new replay, redirect to that post
  • when clicking a thread title in the 'Last Post' column, link leads to the last post in that thread
  • added pages jumps blocks to the forum tag
  • added "Locked, Stick and Announcement" indicators to the forum tag
  • Changed I.P.s to the word 'Guests' in the Whoe's Here page
  • fixed blank thread title after posting... some times the thread title would go blank in the forums thread listing page.
  • Changed how the update-script compairs forum version numbers for smoother updates from older (2.4.1, 2.4.2, etc) forum versions
  • Fixed, missing user name in the "Last Action" column

Heres the mot recent 2.5 (2.5.1)
http://downloads.anotherwebcom.com/wiki/updates/awc_forum_beta_2.5.rar
You must run the 2.5.1 update-script from the AdminCP after you upload the files.
There have been quite a few changes and the updater needs to be run.

Freggern, i tested and tested this and can not reproduce this problem.
What you have posted in your picture is the same problem everyone else had with the English text after running the 2.5.0 updater.

No matter if i enable 'awcs_forum_convert_latin' or disable, the results are the same.
Heres what i did.
Ran the 2.5.0 updater, changed 'awcs_forum_convert_latin', no problem.
Deleted my Deutsch language pack, created a new Deutsch pack, imported the lang-file you posted in this thread and then tested again, no problems.

I see all the text is being displayed fine on your site, what is the problem ?

Kitsufox, just re-uploaded the rar with acouple changes for the last action column. When clicking the date you will be brought to the last post in that thread.
Seams like this would be helpful for your game.
Clicking the thread title works like normal.

Uploaded 2.5.1 files, ran update script, and have a few questions:

1. post_has_been_add shows when a new post is created, where can I change this text?

2. Your info tag on front page looks like the announcement is "stuck" to the top of the listing. How is this done?

Thank you for the updates! Things are looking good.

Other items I cannot find in the language text to change:

thread_has_been_modded
thread_has_been_moved

Big one! Forgot to thank you for being able to easily add the header on top of the forums. Thank you! Added {{header}} into the field and poof - it was there. Love it!

Hmm I run the 2.5 installer again, delate the language + reuploading it, same proplem.
My Proplem is that the ß not display correct on the forum... (In english you use this character never, but in german its a important character)

2. Your info tag on front page looks like the announcement is "stuck" to the top of the listing. How is this done?

Its the "luck of the draw". It just happens that the last thread to be updated/posted in happens to be an announcement. That will change position when other threads have "activity" in them.

I cannot edit my own post here...

Humm.. is the edit button just not showing, or you get an error message, what happens ?
The other day a non-moderate edited their post, and i just tested with a fake member account in the Forum:Mod group and it all worked fine. Also, what happens if you click the "Edited On" link in posts which have been edited ?

thread_has_been_moved

Can you try this URL and let me know what happens ?
Special:AWCforum/admin/awc_lang/do_raw_lang

The language section of the forum is messed up and not updating correctly, might have to re-code it (which i really do not want to).

Freggen, i will look in to the new problem you just brought up.
If you have not found it, the </style> should be replaced in the forum_tags.php file, line #165.
Thanks for catching that.

Maybe I should turn this into a feature request

I like the idea of having an announcement sitting in that first position on the front page. Is that possible in version 2.5.x?

Ill check it out and see what can be done.

As for your missing text, can you check the following file:
\extensions\awc\forums\functions\admin\admin_lang_funk.php
and see if there is a comma at the end of line number 1264
        $sql = "SELECT lang_id,
                        lang_txt_forum_raw,
                        lang_txt_thread_raw,
                        lang_txt_admin_raw,
                        lang_txt_mem_raw,
                        lang_txt_tag_raw,
                        lang_txt_search_raw,
                        lang_txt_errormsg_raw <<==
                        lang_txt_redirects_raw
                   FROM $awc_f_langs ";

Dont think there is.
Can you change that to

        $sql = "SELECT lang_id,
                        lang_txt_forum_raw,
                        lang_txt_thread_raw,
                        lang_txt_admin_raw,
                        lang_txt_mem_raw,
                        lang_txt_tag_raw,
                        lang_txt_search_raw,
                        lang_txt_errormsg_raw,
                        lang_txt_redirects_raw
                   FROM $awc_f_langs ";

and then run the following url and see if it fixs your missing text.
Special:AWCforum/admin/awc_lang/do_raw_lang

Its crazy and frustrating how one simple little comma has cause so much problems (im sure as a chemist you can relate ) !

And how about editing here, was it just a goof, or is there a problem ?

                        lang_txt_admin_raw,
                        lang_txt_mem_raw,
                        lang_txt_tag_raw,
                        lang_txt_search_raw,

                   FROM $awc_f_langs ";

OK, after some fussing, I added two commas: one comma after lang_txt_errormsg_raw and a second after lang_txt_redirects_raw. This didn't fix the problem until I ran the update script again. Now all of the messages show properly

Humm... the second comma is odd, you should have received an error message because of that.

Getting there though, lol... so sorry for these problems.
Simple mistakes like this should not happen.

Which version of the update-script did you run, 2.5.0 or 2.5.1 ?
