I utilized the link that Freggern kindly provided, but to no avail.
I've tried both variations with that file that AWC provided and it seems to load in the DB without an issue, but for some reason things just don't seem to work. I even cleared my cache to make sure that wasn't causing issues.
Maybe just the SQL to populate the language file properly with do the trick? No idea. We have some functionality just due to stubbornness mixed with trial and error, so we can get by, but hope for a fix very, very soon.

Quote:LPH Feb 9th 7:23 pmUpdate through Google Chrome browser failed but changed to Firefox and was able to get the update to work with the click - and in a few seconds was told the update was complete. However, I am not getting the forum tags to work on the front page any longer. They are just blank. I didn't change any codes. A second issue was the loss of the words "wiki edits, threads, posts" in the member's profile.
On a good note, I was able to split out threads and merge threads. Plus, the who's online works well.
I uploaded the language file provided in this thread and fixed the missing words "wiki, edits, threads, etc"
Simply went to /index.php/Special:AWCforum/admin/awc_lang/display_lang_options and uploaded your text file (last possible option on that page).
The only thing not working is the display of the latest forums on the /Main_page of the wiki -- otherwise -- I'm excited about this version! Cool stuff.

Found the problem. The options in the forum tag options (admin panel) were not set properly. I changed the line from 1 to "5,6,7,8" and all is well !
Excellent. Now the forums show up on the main index and all is looking great!

For some reason my version stubbornly refuses to yeild to what works for other people.
My Wiki version is 1.13.3
My PHP Version is 5.2.5 (cgi)
and My MySQL version is 5.0.67-community
No clue if any of that matters, but it's worth a go.

| The link on Who's online (at bottom of wiki pages) is to this site and not to the local wiki. I'm not sure how to change this linking.

Things fixed in this download
- links on main page (question mark in title messed things up)
- jump pages (question mark in title messed things up)
- url problem
- whoes here link
- css not displaying off new system
For the people who have already run the 2.5 update script, you do not have to do that again, just replacing the files with this new one will work.

Still need to be fixed...
The language system
LPH, gonna try and add alittle something for you to get your top-header back in there alittle easier then before.

And I've done my end. Sorry about the delay. Lack of sleep caught up with me.
Thank you very much for the effort you're putting into this.

Had to change who's online in skin templates to match the config.php file:
Forum >> Admin >> Skin Templates >> all >> footer_whoshere
Easy fix.

I just had a brainwave... And I fixed it.
The reason the update to 2.5.0 didn't work was becuase I was running 2.4.0
I rolled the forum back 2.4.0 and then updated it with the patches for 2.4.1, 2.4.2, and 2.4.3 prior to REINSTALLING the patch for 2.5.0 .
Following that I was able to use the language fix, and now everything is hunky dorry.
