Another download ready...

  1. Fixed: row and post-body alt-coloring. This option was only working on some servers, now should work for everyone.
  2. Fixed: URL problem on some servers
  3. Fixed: AdminCP - editing forums: Template fields for top-of-forum and posting-box both display the post-box info
  4. Fixed: Special:AWCforum/st/id1117/
  5. Changed update buttons back to links to solve the IE update problem.
  6. Did alittle work on the AdminCP >> Skin Template, you now can have more then one Skin Template installed and change the default. When Exporting a Skin, it will be saved in the /extensions/awc/forums/skins/exports/ folder.
  7. fixed poll and forum permissions under Wiki 1.9 (thank you Tdot for your patients and help trouble shooting)
  8. fixed redirect for adding a poll
  9. Added poll fields to the "Preview Poll" page
  10. Increased the chr limit of Poll questions and options to 255 (before it worked off the AdminCP thread title length setting)

email broken?
I tested email with 2.4.3 and it worked, I'm testing 2.5.3 and it doesn't seem to be sending out anything

I'm trying to get the post into the email, but even without the modified code, I get no email.

update...

If I subscribe at the thread level it works fine.... If I subscribe at the forum level, it doesn't carry down to the indivual threads automatically.

Not sure i follow you there...

It should send off an email when the first thread is created, then stop.
It will not keep sending emails for every thread, only the first one.

OK, I was under the impression that any and all child threads will get subscribed too...

Would it be hard to have that as an option? My reasoning is this... my team is a support team and we use Google Forums as a means to post questions and have every member to the forum get c/c'ed the question and then whomever email replies..etc...etc...

My intension was to setup like 5 forums (categories?) and each forum can be subscribed to one time and all child threads would be automatically subscribed...

Thanks for clearing up that question about the forum subscribe and thread subscibe difference. I have a few posts out there around this, sorry

I'm just trying to make this work as a mailing list system and a message board together.

Whoe's here and sidebar menu
Hi,
I can't get rid of the Whoe's here and the sidebar menu. Whether it's with setting 
define('awcs_forum_nav_bar', false);

define('show_whos_here_in_WIKI', false);
or by using the Admin page for the Whoe's here option...

I just tested it and the sidebar goes away fine for me... the whos here isnt displayed on normal wiki pages, but remains listed while in the forum. To turn off the forum whos here, you need to set it to no in the forum admin section.

Hello Alagache.
It almost sounds like a cache issues.

The settings in the /config/config.php control whats displayed in your wiki, the settings in the AdminCP control whats displayed in the forum.

Just tested this again in MW 1.14 and did not have a problems ether.

Lastest download changes

  1. Fixed: AdminCP: link (again) for forum-header and posting-box templates, also added a check - if there is no template then the * will not show.
  2. Fixed: When creating a new thread and selecting a Subscribe option, nothing happened.
  3. Fixed: Forum now displays time (to guests) based on what ever $wgLocaltimezone and $wgLocalTZoffset they might have set, logged in users time still reflect on their Wiki Preferences.
  4. Fixed: Space to the left of the first poll option while displaying poll options
  5. Fixed: Some times Members can edit some times they cant (problem was they could not edit in announcement threads )
  6. Added: http://wiki.anotherwebcom.com/index.php5?title=Forum_todo_list&bt_action=view&bt_i...
  7. Added: AdminCP and MemCP options to allow PM's text to be sent in the Notified email
  8. Added: AdminCP option to allow post and thread text to be send in the subscription email
  9. Added: multi-poll options
  10. Added: some HOOKS to the add_thread(), add_single_post() and two more in the subscriptions file.
  11. Added: a send_mail.php file to handle forum mail better.

disreguard... it is something in my HOOKs... I commented out the ext_hook in Localsettings, but didnt save it... starting off the morning GREAT!

Feature request... member DELETE of their own dumb posts...

i have a little dumb request
Is it possible to name the filenames we download not allways awc_forum_beta_2.5.rar ?
Would be more logical imho to name it ****2.5.1.1 or something like that

I get the Internal server error again after sending a PM

3; forum tag num=## does mix up the posts from different forums, I think the last 2 topics are not from the selected forum (id=##)
