The forum moderator has the following abilities, located at the top of every post (only viewable to moderators):
[edit] Sticky Threads
A moderator can change a normal thread into a 'sticky', meaning the thread will stay at the top of the forum it sits in, so to be noticed first by those viewing that forum. Generally used for important or popular and useful threads.
To make a thread a sticky, a moderator would take the following steps:
- Select the 'Sticky' check box
- Press the 'Moderate Post' button
- Done, view the forum containing the thread to view the result
[edit] Lock Threads
A moderator can 'lock' a thread, if they do not want normal users to be able to post in that thread any more. This is generally used when a thread gets off-topic, abusive or contrary to the terms and conditions of the site in general.
A moderator also has the ability to post in such locked threads.
To lock a thread, a moderator would take the following steps:
- Select the 'Lock' check box
- Press the 'Moderate Post' button
- Done, view the forum containing the thread to view the result, also log in as a normal user and their should be no ability to post anymore
[edit] Move Threads
A moderator has the ability to move a thread from one forum to another. This is generally used when a thread topic is not in keeping with the forum title/description.
To move a thread, a moderator would take the following steps:
- Select the 'Move' check box
- Press the 'Moderate Post' button
- Select a new forum to place the thread, from those available within the drop-down box
- Press the 'Submit' button
- Done, view the forum the thread was previously in, and the new forum the thread is now in, to see the result
[edit] Delete Post
A moderator has the ability to delete a post.
To delete a post, a moderator would take the following steps:
- Choose the post they want to delete
- Press the 'Delete' button
- In the popup confirmation box, press 'OK' to delete the post
- Done, view the thread to see the result, the post will now be gone

The moderator may also delete a thread following a simular method to that of deleting a post
To delete a thread, the moderator would take the following steps:
- Choose the thread they want to delete
- Press the 'Delete Thread' button found only at the top of the thread
- In the popup confirmation box, press 'OK' to delete the thread
- Done, view the forum to see the result, the thread will now be gone
[edit] Edit Post
A moderator may edit all posts (unless permissions are changed from default) with the exception of annoucements.
To edit a post, the moderator would take the following steps:
- Choose the post they want to edit
- Press the 'Edit' button
- Make the required changes in the text edit box provided
- Save the edited version of the post, by pressing the 'Submit' button
- Done, view the post to see the results, an 'Edited...' message will appear towards the bottom of the post, to notify others that the post has been edited and by whom and when.
