Under the general Admin setting; "Select the character set your forum will use", you can control which 'character set' your forum will use. The default set is ISO-8859-1 which will work for most Western European languages. For those who use a different language script you will have to change this option to reflect the language you which to use.
This option is found under
AdminCP -> General Option's -> Select the character set your forum will use
Following character sets are supported in PHP 4.3.0 and later.
